Feet up in the lounge car, pines and the highway outside. Sagebrush desert and bare mountains, a shoe on the sill. Passengers in the lounge car, white flats in the windows. Passengers stretching on the Elko platform at night beside the train. First light on the horizon past a dark train window. A passenger at breakfast beside a window onto white flats at sunrise.
